Meet your host:
Karen Minette Weinstein
Art Educator • Curriculum Designer • Creative Consultant
I’m Karen Minette Weinstein—an educator, curriculum designer, and creative consultant with a lifelong belief in the power of art to heal, teach, and connect us.
With over 30 years of experience across public, private, Montessori, and alternative school settings, I’ve worn many hats: art teacher, curriculum developer, media content writer, PD facilitator, program creator, and most recently—the founder of Creative Flow, a trauma-informed, mindfulness-based approach to guided drawing and emotional wellness.
My work lives at the intersection of creativity, education, and well-being. Whether I’m designing curriculum for a children’s media company, coaching educators on arts-integrated SEL, or leading a family through a drawing session designed to reduce stress and build confidence—my goal is always the same: to create space for expression, reflection, and joy.
I hold an M.S.Ed from Bank Street College of Education, a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art, and certifications in Montessori teaching, yoga and SEL (via Breathe for Change), and curriculum design (via Educator Forever). My teaching and content development experience has taken me from classrooms to studios to digital platforms—including work for Nickelodeon, Public Television, and Sesame Workshop.
Now, through Ongoingly Create, I help individuals and organizations reconnect to creativity as a tool for regulation, learning, and transformation.
